Ten years ago I started working full-time as a web developer, leaving behind my career in Physics. It is a decision I have never regretted. For the last decade I have been able to spend my days working on what, for a long time, was mostly a hobby. My passion for developing websites continues today.
Over the last couple of years I have started speaking at local user groups in Sheffield, Leeds, York and Manchester. It has been great to be able to contribute to the community in this way and share my passion with others. I already have several talks booked for 2020. This is something I have really come to enjoy, but would never have imagined doing back in 2010.
It will be interesting to see what the coming decade has to offer and where I go next.
