Client: Dudley Zoological Gardens

In 2010 Dudley Zoological Gardens launched a new website developed by Futurate. The new site provided the zoo staff with an easy to use content management system that has allowed them to keep their site up to date with fresh content. In addition to the main website a Supporters’ Centre was launched allowing the zoo to sell admission tickets, animal sponsorship and events tickets.

My responsibilities included:-

• Building an easy to use Drupal site with SEO and accessibility
• Developing a dynamic “meet the animals” section
• Front-end development of the Supporters’ Centre and user interface design

The site was optimised for search engines which has resulted in improved search rankings and a significant increase in visitor numbers to the website extending the reach of the zoo.
